The Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 course is ideal for businesses whose risk assessment identifies the need for a trained first aider in the workplace.

This practical, one-day course equips participants with the skills, confidence, and knowledge to respond effectively to common workplace emergencies, manage incidents safely, and comply with current UK first aid regulations.

Suitable for new first aiders or those refreshing their skills, with delivery focused on clear procedures, calm decision-making, and best practice.

Training includes:

  • Vital signs: breathing, level of consciousness, temperature, colour
  • Incident management: a systematic approach to safe and effective care
  • Airway management and unconscious casualty care
  • Seizures
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Breathing problems, including choking
  • Circulation problems: controlling bleeding and treating shock
  • Minor injuries: cuts, grazes, burns, scalds, splinters
  • Infection prevention and cross-infection control
  • Record keeping: accident records, RIDDOR awareness, first aid kits
