Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to training, services, product sales, and affiliate programmes provided by Invenio Training Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking a course, purchasing from our website, or joining our affiliate programme, you agree to these terms.
1. Scope of Agreement
This agreement is between you (“the client”) and Invenio Training Ltd. It replaces all prior discussions, emails, or documents, except in cases of fraudulent misrepresentation.
2. Our Commitment
If a course is cancelled or its location changed for reasons beyond our control, we will give you written notice and reschedule where possible. If rescheduling is not possible, your refund will not exceed the fee you paid.
3. Payment Terms
Training fees are shown on the booking form and are subject to VAT unless stated otherwise.
Full payment is required within 14 days of invoice, or before training starts if sooner.
We reserve the right to withhold certificates until full payment is received.
Travel costs may apply for training over 50 miles from HP14 4HY: £0.50 per mile and accommodation up to £95/night.
Venues requiring exclusive use may carry an additional charge (discussed before booking).
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
30+ days before training: Full refund or credit.
11–30 days before training: Up to 50% of fee or deposit retained.
10 days or fewer: Full course fee or deposit retained.
Substitutions are welcome at no extra cost.
Admin fee: £25 per cancellation or reschedule.
4A. Workshops (Short-Format Training)
Workshops and short-format CPD events and may require a £10 booking fee to secure a place.
This fee may be redeemed against any Invenio Training course booked within 12 months of the workshop date. After 12 months, the fee is not redeemable.
Where the fee is not redeemed, 2% will be donated to Adventure Smart UK and the British Mountaineering Council (BMC) Access & Conservation, with the remainder reinvested into the development of future training.
Workshop places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
5. General Terms
You may not transfer this agreement without our written consent.
English law applies, and disputes will be handled by English courts.
Training is delivered in English; interpretation services must be arranged by you.
6. Benefits, Guarantees & Memberships
30-Day Confidence Guarantee Individual Bookings (Face-to-Face Courses Only)
This guarantee applies to individual bookings on face-to-face courses only.
For blended training, which includes pre-course online learning, the guarantee applies to the face-to-face training element only. Awarding body registration, online learning, and certification fees are non-refundable once processed.
This guarantee does not apply to group bookings, workplace courses, in-house delivery, affiliate-arranged training, or standalone online courses.
Our aim is for every candidate to leave feeling confident in their ability to respond when it matters.
If, at the end of your course, you do not feel confident applying what you have learned, we will offer you a free place on an equivalent future course to provide additional practice and support.
If you complete the full course and notify us in writing within 30 days of the final day of the original course that you still do not feel the training has met your needs, we will issue a refund of the applicable course fee.
Your certificate will remain valid.
You will also receive £50 credit towards a future face-to-face training course delivered by Invenio Training Ltd.
Free online courses, promotional items, and enhanced professional discounts are excluded where a refund is issued.
Course credits are non-transferable and valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
Training Quality Guarantee (Group & Workplace Bookings)
This guarantee applies to group bookings, workplace training, in-house delivery, schools, outdoor centres, equestrian organisations, clubs, charities, and businesses.
We are committed to delivering practical, engaging, and professional training that meets the agreed course specification.
If any candidate feels they require additional support to understand or apply the course content, we will provide reasonable additional assistance, which may include guidance, resources, or a place on a future equivalent open course at no additional cost.
If we fail to deliver the course substantially in accordance with the agreed course specification, we will work with the booking organisation to put matters right through additional training, support, or another mutually agreed solution.
This guarantee does not provide for refunds based on individual candidate preferences, learning styles, assessment outcomes, or confidence levels where the course has been delivered as agreed.
Nothing in this guarantee affects your statutory rights.
Professional Discounts: Available to members of partner organisations (e.g. MTA, Alpine Club, Paddle UK, MIA, BMC, Blue Light Card, Defence Discount Card). Proof may be required.
Workshops: Short-format CPD events are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. A £10 booking fee applies in line with Section 4A. MTA members may book via the MTA website where applicable.
Retainer Services: May be cancelled with one month’s notice. Hours do not roll over. Abuse of service may lead to restricted access.
Bundle Offers: Only valid for full-day first aid courses, not half-day or blended EFAW.
One Lifesystems Nano First Aid Kit is included per paid individual outdoor first aid course booking.
Not available for group or discounted bookings.
Only for outdoor courses.
Issued in person on the course date.
Not redeemable for cash or alternative products.
An equivalent product may be supplied in the event of stock limitations.
7. Product Sales (Gear & Clothing)
All goods are sold by Invenio Training Ltd.
Orders are subject to availability and confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse orders.
Prices include VAT but exclude delivery. Errors in pricing will be corrected before dispatch.
Payment must clear before dispatch.
Delivery normally within 3–5 working days (UK). Express delivery option at checkout, we use Royal Mail.
Returns accepted within 90 days in resale condition, at customer’s expense. Refunds issued within 7 days of return.
Intellectual property, logos, and website content remain property of Invenio Training Ltd.
8. Data Protection & Privacy
We comply with the UK Data Protection Act and GDPR. Personal information is collected only to process your booking or purchase and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
9. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website.
10. Invenio Training Partner Programme & Recommend a Friend – Terms & Conditions
By joining the Invenio Training Partner Programme or participating in our Recommend a Friend scheme, you agree to the following terms.
10.1 Partner Programme
The Partner Programme is free to join and is designed for organisations, businesses and individuals who introduce new customers to Invenio Training Ltd.
Partners will be issued with a unique Partner Code, which must be used at the time of booking to qualify for a reward.
10.2 Partner Rewards
Qualifying referrals earn:
£100 for qualifying group course bookings.
£25 for qualifying half-day group bookings.
Rewards become payable only after:
the referred course has been completed;
the booking has been paid in full; and
any applicable 30-day Money-Back Guarantee period has expired.
Partners may choose to receive their reward as either:
a cash payment by bank transfer; or
training credit to use against future Invenio Training courses.
Training credit is valid for 18 months from the date it is issued and has no cash value.
10.3 Recommend a Friend
Existing Invenio Training customers may recommend friends, family or colleagues.
To qualify:
Rewards are payable only for genuine referrals of new customers.
The referred customer must enter the referrer's name in the comments box at the time of booking.
The referred customer must successfully complete a qualifying Invenio Training course.
The referrer must have previously completed an Invenio Training course.
Referral rewards are not payable for cancelled, refunded or no-show bookings.
Rewards will be issued within 30 days of the referred customer's course completion, following the expiry of the Invenio Training 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee.
Invenio Training Ltd reserves the right to verify referrals and refuse rewards where abuse of the scheme is suspected or where these Terms & Conditions have not been met.
Once these conditions have been met, the referrer will receive a £5 (for Essential Course) or £10 Amazon eGift Card as a thank you for their recommendation.
10.4 Qualifying Referrals
Referral rewards are available only for new customers who have not previously booked directly with Invenio Training Ltd.
Only one referral reward may be claimed per new customer. Where multiple referrals are claimed, Invenio Training's decision as to the qualifying referrer will be final.
Referral rewards are not payable for cancelled, refunded or no-show bookings.
10.5 Exclusions
Referral rewards and partner rewards cannot be transferred to another person.
Training credit cannot be exchanged for cash and may only be redeemed against eligible Invenio Training courses.
Training credit expires 18 months after the date of issue.
10.6 Partner Responsibilities
Partners must represent Invenio Training honestly, professionally and in a manner consistent with our values.
Partners must not make misleading claims about our courses or qualifications.
Partners may not use paid advertising (including Google Ads or social media advertising) targeting the Invenio Training brand without our prior written consent.
10.7 Changes and Termination
Invenio Training Ltd reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the Partner Programme or Recommend a Friend scheme at any time.
We also reserve the right to refuse or remove any partner whose conduct is inconsistent with our values or these Terms & Conditions.
Any qualifying rewards earned before termination will continue to be honoured in accordance with these Terms.
