Who Are We?

At Invenio we train people for the moments that matter — when conditions are challenging, help is delayed, and decisions count.

Our instructors are outdoor professionals and healthcare practitioners with real experience in remote, demanding environments.
We don’t just teach the syllabus — we teach judgement, adaptability, and calm decision-making.

Our courses are practical, research-led, and scenario-based, shaped by what actually works outside the classroom to give you confidence.
Suitable for outdoor professionals and adventurers working in and enjoying the outdoors.

We run open courses across the Chiltern Hills, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire, and deliver training throughout the South East and across the UK.
Join our community for ongoing learning, support and skill sessions to help you remain confident and competent for when it matters.

 What Our Learners Say

Bruce delivers first aid training for full time and part time staff of Play Action International on an annual basis. He travels to us, bringing a lot, but appropriate, equipment. He tailors the course to a very niche and specific need of ours; outdoors, hot climate, young people. It is always very engaging, professional, and up to date. His price is very competitive for such high class training.
Cannot fault and will continue to always recommend him.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I recently completed the Outdoor Pursuits 16 Hour First Aid L3 course with Invenio Training Ltd,
and I can honestly say it was an outstanding experience.
The instructor, Bruce, was absolutely fantastic.
He was incredibly informative and made sure to answer all of our questions with great detail.
His sense of humor and friendly demeanour made the course not only educational but also enjoyable.
Bruce made the content easy to understand and engaging, which is exactly what you want in a first aid course.
I highly recommend Invenio Training Ltd for anyone looking to gain first aid knowledge in the outdoor pursuits field –
truly provide top-notch training!”

Spinal Injuries in the Wilderness

For years, first aiders were taught one rule above all others: “Don’t move them!”
Back then, “immobilise the spine” meant collars, backboards, and keeping casualties perfectly still at all costs.

Fractures in the Outdoors

A broken femur (thigh bone) is one of the most serious injuries you can face outdoors. It’s not just a painful fracture – it’s a life-threatening emergency that can cause massive internal bleeding and shock

Resus Council 2025 Guidelines

The Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK) 2025 Guidelines introduce several important updates that directly affect schools, outdoor education, activity centres, and youth organisations.

Compliance in Outdoor Education

When people think of outdoor learning, they picture freedom, challenge, shiny gear and adventure — not paperwork. But for those managing outdoor centres or school trips, compliance isn’t just admin.

Having done around 5 of these first aid courses with different providers, this is the best 16hr course I have been on.
Bruce made the weekend wizz past as he was so engaging and made the course really enjoyable.
There was lots of practical activities and most of the weekend was spent outside, where you can really put the theory into practice.
I would highly recommend this course, Bruce was a fantastic trainer, really knowledgeable and I came away probably the most confident in First Aid that I have from any course.
Thanks for a great weekend!”
