This 16-hour Outdoor First Aid (Level 3) course is designed for people who work, lead, or spend time in environments where help from professional rescue may be delayed.

Training is delivered in outdoor settings and focuses on practical casualty care, decision-making under pressure, and adapting treatment with limited resources.

You’ll train through realistic scenarios covering:

  • Management of serious bleeding, fractures, head and spinal injuries
  • Recognition and treatment of hypothermia, heat illness, and common medical conditions
  • CPR and AED use in outdoor and remote contexts
  • Incident management, casualty care, and evacuation planning
  • Working safely as a team in challenging environments

The course meets governing body requirements and aligns with Institute for Outdoor Learning (IOL) guidance.
