This one-day outdoor first aid course in the Chilterns, with easy access from London and home counties is comprehensive and hands-on, designed for anyone who spends time in outdoor settings. You’ll learn how to manage emergencies where conditions are challenging and access to the emergency services may be delayed.

You’ll cover:

✅Vital signs – how to assess breathing, consciousness, and circulation
✅Incident management – a simple, systematic approach to first aid
✅Airway and breathing problems – including choking and safe airway positions
✅Circulation issues – serious bleeding, shock, and internal injuries
✅Damage – fractures, head, neck, and spinal injuries
✅Environmental considerations – hypothermia, heat illness, cold injuries
✅Prolonged casualty care – monitoring and supporting until help arrives
✅CPR and AED – adult protocols, including drowning response
