FIRST RESPONSE EMERGENCY CARE (FREC)  

The leading qualifications for prehospital care, the Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (FREC) Framework covers the full range of skills required by the HSE for first aid, and more!  A perfect fit for those working as a first responder in austere environments.  

First Responders typically includes Search and Rescue, Security Staff, and those providing medical cover at events, as well as those working in high-risk environments including Construction, Industry and Journalism.  We have a licence to include C-TECC (Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care guidelines).  

First Response Emergency Care (FREC 3) 

The Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) covers the full range of skills required by the security industry. 
 
Successful Learners can progress to FREC 4 
 
Over 5 days, you will fulfill the competencies set out in the Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine skills framework at descriptor level D (Advanced Provider).

Over 3 days, you will fulfill the competencies set out in the Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine skills framework at descriptor level D (Advanced Provider) to re-qualify.

First Response Emergency Care (FREC 4) 

The Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (Level 4 RQF) covers the full range of skills required by the security industry and enhanced training to accommodated the changing needs for close protection and those responsible for the well being of clients in remote locations. 
 
Successful Learners can progress to FREC 5 
 
Over 5 days, you will fulfill the competencies set out in the Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine skills framework at descriptor level E (Advanced Provider). You will also need to complete three work books after completing your training. You need to hold FREC 3 to complete this course.

Security Dog First Aid (Level 2) 

This Level 2 qualification is available as a stand alone day course or can be embedded within one of our FREC or longer first aid courses. 
With K9 working dogs serving alongside security operators, their care is being taken more seriously. Combat medics are taught K9 tactical emergency care to ensure the best treatment for our canine partners even in the most austere environments. 
 
This course is approved by NASDU and taught by an ex Royal Army Veterinary Corps dog trainer and handler with operational experience working with Security dogs, Arms Explosive Search dogs and Tracker dogs.
