Outdoor First Aid & Paediatric Training for Schools

Specialist outdoor first aid, paediatric first aid, and wellbeing training for schools delivering trips, expeditions, residentials, and outdoor learning.

Designed for teachers, trip leaders, and DofE teams, our training helps schools meet duty-of-care responsibilities while giving staff the confidence to manage incidents calmly when help isn’t immediately available.

All courses are VAT reclaimable, making our training more cost-effective than many non-VAT providers.

Built for Schools and Educational Settings

At Invenio Training, we work closely with school leadership, bursars, EVCs, and outdoor coordinators to deliver training that is practical, defensible, and easy to justify.
Proven experience with schools
Trusted by UK and international schools including Dulwich Prep, St Paul’s Cathedral School, Wellington College, and UWC Singapore.
Aligned with inspection and safeguarding expectations
Our training supports schools in meeting welfare, safeguarding, and staff competence expectations under Ofsted and the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).
Focused on real-world school environments
Training is designed around the realities of school trips, outdoor learning, expeditions, and residential settings.

Paediatric First Aid — Standalone or Integrated

Paediatric First Aid (EYFS and Ofsted-aligned) is available as a standalone course and can also be embedded within Outdoor First Aid and combined staff training.

This allows schools to meet statutory requirements through one coordinated training plan, reducing duplicated courses, time away from lessons, and overall cost.

Having just completed the Outdoor Pursuits 16 Hour First Aid L3 with Bruce at Invenio Training, i can vouch whole heartily for this being an outstanding and invaluable program- The importance of "realistic" role play in an outdoor environment (fantastic location at that) can't be understated, with Bruce building out a community/supportive environment during the course (and post course support). Everything rooted in thought provoking realism (including social dynamics)- driven of course by Bruce's real world experience. 3 days after the course I was at a cycling event where there was a polytrauma including suspected collapsed lung- I had the confidence to take the lead and act as first aider- familiarity with assessment, process , decision making and using the First aid apparatus available. You never know when its going to get real - Thanks Bruce for opening my eyes and being a great mentor to us all.
