BASIC LIFE SUPPORT FOR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS. GP & DENTISTS
As Healthcare Professionals we understand the limitations to complete compliance training for the CQC. With one PLT per month GP surgeries have to juggle training needs. We offer a sensible, flexible approach to training Doctors, Dentists, Nurses and Paramedics with refresher training. Taught by Healthcare Professionals to Healthcare Professionals at an appropriate level. Whether NHS, Private or Locum we can provide training for you and your team.
We can accomodate new non clinical staff, by providing a more indepth option or if experienced staff they can join clinicians. Multiple sessions over an afternoon are an option, we can also accomodate mid day sessions or after clinical hours. Training can be at your venue, local venues can be sourced for larger numbers. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals
This course covers basic life support skills and includes skills for adults, children, and infants. The training includes safety, initial assessment, recovery position, CPR, AED and choking. An anaphylaxis certificate is an optional extra, although we do include the use of auto-injectors in our training. We also run a dental version which is more comprehensive.
We can come to you on your PLT to deliver a no nonsense course for your clinicians. There is an online option for reception staff if they do not require annual face to face refreshers.
Additional Dental Subjects:
Vital Signs – breathing, level of consciousness, temperature, colour
Incident Management – a systematic approach to managing first aid
Airway Management – causes and treatment of unconscious collapse
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Breathing Problems - choking initial assessment, recovery position, CPR
Choking
Oxygen use, BVM
Managing Epilepsy, Asthma and Anaphylactic reactions.
This course complies with the latest 2015 ERC and UK Resuscitation Council Guidelines and is aimed at Healthcare Professionals with a duty to respond.
