Whole School First Aid

Practical life-saving skills for all you team

When we train your staff, we don’t just stop there.

Every booking includes a free short session for either pupils or additional staff — designed to build confidence across your whole setting.

Why this matters

First aiders aren’t always immediately available.
Incidents don’t wait.
This session helps bridge that gap.
It gives people the confidence to act early, support others, and buy valuable time until trained first aiders take over.
Supports DfE Health Education guidance for pupils to be taught first aid• Builds whole-school confidence • Strengthens first aid provision

What the session covers

A practical, engaging introduction to:

Recognising when something is wrong
Getting help quickly and clearly
Simple actions that make a difference
Supporting a casualty until help arrives

No pressure. No assessment. Just useful, real-world skill.

Who it’s for

You can choose what works best for your setting:

Pupils (age-appropriate delivery)
Teaching or support staff
Mixed groups where appropriate

How it works

Delivered on the same day as your staff training
Short, focused session (typically 30–60 minutes)
After the main session

The outcome

More people who know what to do.
More confidence across your school.
Better support for your trained first aiders.
Because in a real incident, the first person on scene matters.

Safeguarding

All sessions are delivered by an instructor holding current safeguarding and Prevent training certificates, in line with UK best practice, with content adapted to ensure safe and appropriate delivery for children and young people.
First aid simulation showing an unconscious child casualty after a road traffic incident. Trainees practising choking response techniques on each other during a first aid course.
I attended an Emergency First Aid at Work for Forestry in April '24. Bruce's approach was really engaging and made learning enjoyable, while covering loads of useful material. The outdoor sessions really helped put theory into practice, and made me feel much better prepared for any incident when leading volunteer work parties outdoors. I've been on several first aid courses over the years, and I think this was the best!”
