Safeguarding
Safeguarding is central to how we plan, deliver and review our training.
Invenio Training works with children, young people and adults across schools, colleges, youth organisations and outdoor settings. We take our safeguarding responsibilities seriously and are committed to providing a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment for everyone we work with.
Training, Experience and Professional Practice
Training is delivered by an instructor with extensive experience working in educational, youth and outdoor environments, including regular teaching within schools and colleges.
Safeguarding training and experience includes:
Level 3 Safeguarding training
Previous role as a Designated Child Protection Officer
Regular delivery of training within schools, colleges and youth settings
This experience informs how courses are structured, supervised and delivered, particularly when working with younger participants.
Safeguarding Compliance & Alignment
Instructors hold an Enhanced DBS and Level 3 Safeguarding, with additional training aligned to Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) including the required Prevent Duty under the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015, alongside current UK safeguarding legislation.
Training supports Ofsted and ISI expectations around staff welfare, supervision, and competence, with safeguarding embedded throughout all sessions.
DBS Checks
Enhanced DBS checks are held through Health Practice Associate Council.
DBS status is kept up to date through the update service and can be confirmed by organisations on request.
Working With Schools, Colleges and Youth Organisations
When delivering training for schools, colleges, and youth organisations, Invenio Training works in line with the safeguarding policies and procedures of the host organisation, ensuring a consistent and coordinated approach.
This includes:
Identifying and working with the organisation’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
Reporting concerns in line with the organisation’s safeguarding procedures
Maintaining appropriate conduct, supervision, and professional boundaries
Where additional safeguarding requirements are in place, these are discussed and agreed in advance to ensure clarity and compliance.
Raising a Safeguarding Concern
Any safeguarding concern should be raised as soon as possible.
Concerns will be managed responsibly and, where appropriate, reported in line with local safeguarding procedures and statutory guidance.
Safeguarding-related enquiries can be directed to Invenio Training via the usual contact channels.
A Responsible Approach
Safeguarding is about creating trust, clarity and accountability.
We are committed to working collaboratively with schools, organisations and parents to ensure training is delivered in a way that is safe, professional and appropriate for all participants.

“Bruce our instructor on the Level 3 Outdoor First Aid training was great, incredibly knowledgeable, with an amazing amount of kit to show and share with us. He kept it interesting and enjoyable. I particularly enjoyed actually learning outside, in the fields, up a hill, under huge trees, much better than 2 days in a classroom environment.”
