Our Values & Giving Back
Outdoor learning depends on healthy landscapes, strong communities, and people who are prepared to make good decisions when things matter.
At Invenio Training, we believe that if we rely on the outdoors, we should help to protect it. We believe in building confidence, improving judgement, reducing avoidable risk, and giving something back to the communities and organisations that make adventure possible.
These principles shape how we teach, how we operate, and the organisations we choose to support.
Supporting Outdoor Safety
We are proud supporters of Adventure Smart UK & Ireland, a national campaign helping people enjoy the outdoors safely and responsibly.
Before every adventure, Adventure Smart encourages people to ask three simple questions:
Do I have the right knowledge and skills for today?
Do I know what the weather is doing?
Do I have the right gear?
These simple questions help prevent incidents before they happen.
Adventure Smart combines real-world incident data, behavioural science and the experience of rescue services and outdoor professionals to help people make better decisions outdoors.
This aligns directly with our approach at Invenio Training:
Build confidence. Improve judgement. Reduce avoidable risk.
Giving Back
We believe adventure should leave a positive legacy.
By training with us, you help support organisations that protect our landscapes, care for animals that have served others, and encourage safer participation in outdoor activities.
BMC Access & Conservation Trust
We donate £1 for every person attending a face-to-face course to the BMC Access & Conservation Trust.
The Trust funds practical conservation projects, improves sustainable access to crags and mountains, supports environmental education, and helps protect the wild places we all enjoy.
Their work includes footpath restoration, access initiatives, ecological projects and campaigns such as Mend Our Mountains and The Climate Project.
We are proud to support their wider mission: ensuring that future generations can continue to enjoy the outdoors responsibly.
The Horse Trust
We proudly support The Horse Trust, the UK's oldest horse charity.
For over 130 years, The Horse Trust has cared for retired horses, ponies and donkeys, including many that have served the nation through military and public service.
The charity provides retirement, respite and lifelong care to animals that have given so much.
As lifelong equestrians ourselves, and through our work with The Horse Trust, we recognise the important role horses continue to play in our communities and are proud to support their welfare.
Environmental Responsibility
We focus on realistic, practical actions rather than broad claims.
Our everyday choices include:
* Delivering training locally where possible to reduce unnecessary travel.
* Encouraging car sharing.
* Using a hybrid vehicle for business travel where practical.
* Providing joining instructions and learning resources digitally by default.
* Repairing and maintaining equipment to extend its working life.
* Recycling training consumables wherever possible.
* Choosing venues that support conservation, education and responsible land management.
* Teaching outdoor skills and decision-making that help prevent avoidable incidents and reduce unnecessary rescue demand.
Small actions, repeated consistently, make a meaningful difference.
Our Values
Quality
We teach skills that hold up in the real world — outdoors, under pressure, and when conditions aren't ideal.
Our training is practical, relevant and continually improved so people leave confident, capable and genuinely prepared.
Integrity
We do what we say, and we say what we do.
If something can be improved, we improve it. If we make a mistake, we learn from it.
Consistency, honesty and accountability matter.
Environmental Responsibility
We rely on wild places to teach.
Protecting the outdoors and promoting responsible access is part of being Adventure Ready.
Supportive
Learning should be challenging but supportive.
We encourage questions, reflection and confidence-building at every stage.
Our support doesn't stop when a course ends. We also offer post-incident support, helping people process events, learn from them and move forward with confidence.
Community
We stand alongside the people and organisations who keep the outdoors safe and accessible.
We share knowledge, support volunteers and professionals, and contribute back where we can.
Together, we're helping people explore with confidence, care for the places we love, and give something back.
Thank you for being part of that journey.
